About Brenna McDermott

McDermott

Brenna McDermott is a 2011 graduate of the Truman State University journalism program. She discovered her love of writing while working at her college newspaper for four years and rose from columnist to opinions editor to editor-in-chief. Brenna credits her time there for shaping her into a very cynical yet punctual person.

Today, she works as the marketing and community relations manager at the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum in Hannibal. There, she plans events, works with the press and learns something new every day.

A St. Louis native, she is still getting used to living in a small town, but she’s adjusting. She loves science fiction, talking walks, playing Taboo, winning at volleyball and watching her favorite television shows, which include The West Wing and LOST, among others. Most of all, she loves to write and to give her opinion about anything and everything. That combination makes for a born blogger. Brenna can be reached at brennamcdermott11@gmail.com.
