There is only a few days left to see the Quincy Artists Guild show at the Quincy Art Center, 1515 Jersey. The show will continue through Aug. 27.

The show is comprised of original works of art displaying the diversity and artistic talent within the group. Come see what your local artists have been working on during the past year.

The QAG is a long established group of local artists who study and practice art in many forms. Members meet on Mondays at the Quincy Art Center beginning at 9:30 a.m. to work on current projects. The group also sponsors workshops to learn new techniques or improve current skills. The workshops are open to the public at a nominal cost. Several outings are planned for painting at off-site locations to practice plein air painting.

In addition to the QAG sponsored workshops, many members have studied with nationally known artists and share their knowledge and expertise with others. The skill of members ranges from beginner to professional. Many have studied at colleges and universities while others are self-taught. All take part in continuing study and practice of skill and talent and willingly share their knowledge with others. Members are available to teach in classrooms throughout the area.

Anyone interested in joining the Quincy Artists Guild or learning more about it should contact Dian Link, president, at 228-1142. Dues are $20 per year and membership in the Quincy Art Center is also required.
