Ericson Productions is presenting a jam-packed show Friday at Turner Hall, 926 Hampshire. (And yes, that pun was intended. Read on.)

If you are into jam bands, funk/roots music or alternative rock/blues; if you are young, old or in between; if you like chill lounge shows or fast-paced dancing; or if you are into all of the above, then definitely go to this show.

Now just because all of those descriptions apply, please do not think this is a scattered lineup, because it is actually one of the most organized and cohesive shows I’ve seen lately.

LINEUP

Chicago’s Strain Busy Sky has a musically jam band feel with a bluesy lead-singer and a sense of humor when it comes to writing songs.

Revision
Revision

"Would you laugh at me cause I watch Tom and Jerry; would you laugh at me because my back is hairy; even though I’m 23." — Strain Busy Sky, "Laugh At Me"

Revision out of Ithaca, NY, says on its MySpace page that they are a "band that loves to play music," and when you listen to them, you know this is true.

Quincy’s Fielder will headline the show, and as I’ve said in the past, it is always a good time to listen to them. Dancing and/or chilling as they play are equal options, so there is no reason to say you don’t feel like catching the show.

"I guess the story of about where we live; it’s the picture perfect river town up on a hill." — Fielder, "Shadows In Replay"
