Thomsen receives state honor

QUINCY — Quincy Community Theatre Artistic Director Brandon Thomsen has been honored as the recipient of the Illinois Theatre Association’s 2016 Award of Excellence in Community Theatre.

The awards presentation was held Saturday during the association’s inaugural gala at Harper College’s Wojcik Conference Center in Palatine, Ill.

Each year the Illinois Theatre Association recognizes individuals and organizations for their significant contributions of promoting quality theater throughout Illinois.
